Monster trucks a horror at Rocky show

IF THE names Samson and Raptor’s Rampage don’t mean anything to you now, the chances are they will by the end of the 2011 Rockhampton Show.

They’re the stars of the Monster Truck Spectacular, which will be held on the final night of the Rocky show on Thursday, June 9.

Rockhampton Regional Council show committee chairman Graeme Brady said the show organisers were going all out to make the 2011 show one of the most spectacular yet. “These monster trucks will be a great finale to what I know will be a great show,” he said.

The Monster Truck Spectacular is just one of the events planned for the Rocky Show. Other drawcards include Sky Warriors Skydiving, IWA Pro Wrestling, Far North Freestyle MX as well as entertainers The Crack Up Sisters and Polytoxic Dance Company.

Entry to the Monster Truck Spectacular is included in your show admission ticket price.

The Rockhampton Show will run from Tuesday, June 7 to Thursday, June 9 from 9am at the Rockhampton Showgrounds, Wandal.

People’s Day public holiday is Wednesday, June 8. Pre-purchased tickets will be available shortly from the showgrounds office, Stockland Rockhampton and the Pilbeam Theatre.
