WITH the wet season starting soon, Rockhampton Regional Council has been observing and spraying within 400m of the airport to control mosquitoes.

This is aimed at stopping the spread of any imported mosquitoes with the arrival of the Singaporean Army for Exercise Wallaby.

Further surveillance is planned after they leave in November.
