Mother, daughter sell homes

AFTER following in her mother's career footsteps, Claudia Coren is now walking with her side by side as a business partner.

Claudia and Esme Coren, a mother and daughter real estate sales team, took ownership of Yeppoon Real Estate on October 1 and launched its new look this week.

“The opportunity arose and we jumped in,” Claudia said.

Earlier this year they were focused on working together after Claudia went from working as a personal assistant to then buddying up with her mum in sales.

“When you worked with us you got a double whammy,” Claudia laughed.

Now they are excited to be taking a big leap forward.

“We've got a good dynamic happening,” Claudia said.

“We do everything together,” Esme added.

The pair are now brimming with ideas of how they can make changes in their boutique agency, doing things their way.

“We took over the building then had literally builders and painters everywhere, as we did a 100% refit over the month,” Esme said.

“Because we are not franchised, the sky is the limit.”

The pair admit they have always been close, and say their partnership works really well.

“This year has been very exciting and positive for us,” Esme said.

“The secret of our success is being ourselves.”
