Mother-of-five fined for stealing

KATHLEEN May Shipley, 36, pleaded guilty on Friday to stealing more than $3000 worth of items from a Rockhampton auctioneer.

After being questioned by police the mother-of-five returned the goods, undamaged.

Shipley's solicitor Danita Clarke said in Rockhampton Magistrates Court yesterday that her client was remorseful and it was a "spur of the moment decision".

Magistrate Cameron Press fined Shipley $750.
