A 26-year-old woman was injured when her motorbike collided with a car on Yandina - Coolum Rd this morning. 

The accident took place about 8.15am near the intersection of Sunshine Motorway and Yandina-Coolum Rd, Coolum Beach, a Queensland Police Service spokesman confirmed.

The female motorbike rider was taken to Nambour Hospital with minor injuries. A Queensland Ambulance Service spokeswoman said the woman had minor injuries.   

The driver of the car was not injured and the road is now clear.   

Parents dropping children at nearby Coolum State School and commuters driving away from Coolum were delayed for about half an hour.   

The primary school held a special choir performance this morning, which added to traffic congestion.
