Move over Miranda Kerr

MOVE over Miranda Kerr, Kathryn Fisher sure knows how to wear a bikini.

The Rockhampton beauty secured first place at the Best Model competition at Strutter's Nightclub last weekend.

Kathryn competed against six other finalists in both, fashion wear and swimwear, but they proved no match for her deadly catwalk strut.

“I love getting all dressed up and competing. I still get stage fright but modelling has really helped build my confidence. It makes you feel good about yourself,” she said on Tuesday.

This was the fifth competition that Kathryn has competed in, but her first win.

She will now compete at the national final for the 2011 Best Model Australia competition being held at the Gold Coast next month.

Kathryn, who works at the Department of Transport and Main Roads, said she was looking forward to broadening her horizons and competing somewhere outside of Rockhampton.

“It will be a great experience,” she said.

The winner will receive a cash prize as well as an all-expenses paid trip to the Best Model of the World finals in Turkey.
