Mowed down by the competition

YOU wouldn't think a pig dog could lose a wheel, but anyone who has been to The Caves Agricultural Show will know anything is possible.

Craig Shuker was doing a warm-up run on Yeppoon Small Motors' pride and joy, their mower, Pig Dog, at the show on Sunday when he lost a wheel going around a corner.

Owner of Yeppoon Small Motors James Wells said they rushed to Yeppoon to get a replacement for the yellow and red machine.

And when Craig got back in the driver's seat for the real race, the mighty mower powered on – until it ran out of fuel.

“He came fourth, out of four,” James laughed.

“But I told him he did a good job, he didn't need an ambulance to cart him off.”

This is Pig Dog's second competition and James said there would be more to come.

“We've still got the Yeppoon Show, the Rocky Show and the Ridgelands Show.”
