MEMBER for Dawson George Christensen started his week by having a swipe at environmental protesters.

The outspoken politician first slammed anti-Adani activists who were protesting outside the Brisbane headquarters for construction company Downer Group.

Mr Christensen shared the story Adani protest: Activists claim they were nudged by Driver in Brisbane.

"A man and woman, both aged in their 60s, told police a man attempting to drive into the Woolloongabba carpark they were blocking "nudged" into them with his car," the story by Clare Anderson and John McCarthy reads.

The protest was organised by Galilee Blockade, its spokesman Ben Pennings was reported saying the car came into contact with five people.

"We fully expect the executive to be charged with assault," he said.

But George Christensen's reaction was more sympathetic for the unknown executive.

"How would the eco-terrorists react if someone blocked the entrance to Centrelink?," he said in his Facebook post.

Then Mr Christensen took a swipe at Stop Adani protesters who met on Saturday in Mackay.

"The (group) demonstrates a complete lack of understanding about the job-creating project they are trying to stop, suggesting Adani is 'just trying to come in, make a quick buck and get out of town again'," he wrote.

"Adani is an energy company trying to secure supply for many decades.

"And if the activists are concerned about the project 'putting in proper consideration for our rivers, our water, our landscapes, our oceans,' they should take the time to read the environmental impact statement and the transcript of their failed legal challenge."
