Mt Morgan man dies after George Street crash

AN ELDERLY man has died in hospital six days after crashing his vehicle into a power pole in Rockhampton.

On October 25, emergency crews rushed to the scene of a crash on George St.

The 75-year-old was driving a hatchback and crashed into the pole at 9.35am.

The Mount Morgan man was the only occupant of the vehicle and was transported to Rockhampton Hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Police confirmed the man had succumbed to his injuries from the crash on Saturday, October 31.

The Forensic Crash Unit is continuing to investigate the incident.
