Shane Sealey only had ears for Kevin Bloody Wilson

SHANE Sealey wasn't letting anyone come between him and his Bloody music.

The Mount Morgan man certainly had no regard for his neighbours or police officers when he was told to turn down his thumping music.

He only had ears for Kevin Bloody Wilson.

But his failure to heed the turn-down-the-music commands from police landed him in court.

Sealey, 48, yesterday pleaded guilty in the Rockhampton Magistrates Court to one count of public nuisance, one count of contravening police directions and obstructing police officers in their duty.

Just before midnight on August 24 Mount Morgan police received noise complaints from James St residents of loud music coming from a neighbour, the court heard.

When police arrived at Sealey's property, he had a high fence around his house and the gate to his home was locked.

Police Prosecutor Sergeant Joseph Aboud said police noticed a stereo blasting at the back of the garage. Police had to wait until the song finished so they could get Sealey's attention.

But he wasn't having a bar of it and told the officers he could do what he wanted.

The court heard police tried to unlock the gate but were forced to jump over the high fence.

Mr Aboud said when the officers climbed the fence, Sealey ran back into his garage, closed the door and locked the officers out.

Duty solicitor Danny Yarrow told the court Sealey had drunk three-quarters of a bottle of vodka.

He was later charged, but told police they didn't mean a thing to him.

Magistrate Cameron Press fined Sealey a total of $850.

Kevin Bloody Wilson is an Australian singer notorious for his uniquely-titled songs, some of which aren't appropriate for publication.
