Narelle’s job for life at Coles Emerald

LOCAL resident and Coles Emerald team member Narelle Wicks has recently celebrated 25 years working at Coles - proving there is such thing as a job for life.

Narelle started working at Coles Toowoomba as a 15-year-old and has since worked at four different stores. Narelle has experienced a lot of changes over the past 25 years, the best being Wesfarmers' acquisition of Coles in 2007, which, in her opinion, led to a unique work environment that she continues to enjoy.

As dry goods manager, Narelle has got to know the regular customers in one of her highlights working at Coles over the years.

Narelle has also been a keen participant in Coles' fundraising initiatives and continues to support charitable activities at Coles Emerald. Most recently, Narelle enjoyed helping out by selling vouchers and raffle tickets to raise money for the Emerald Hospital.

The funds contributed towards the purchase of chairs that can serve as beds for parents to stay at the hospital with their sick children.
