New Jo Beatty art exhibition a feast for the eyes at cafe
CIO Bella Cucina in Yeppoon is about to take on a new ambience with the opening of the month long exhibition Rusted by artist Jo Beatty. about to grace its walls.
The exhibition includes a rage of exquisite artworks featuring portraits of Yeppoon RSL war veterans, nature stills and landscapes in pastels
.Opening on March 16, the exhibition includes 14 works exhibits that have taken artist Jo Beatty more than 12 months to complete.
Ms Beatty said her inspiration was taken from the Capricorn Coast region and beyond and the exhibition will mark the beginning of an exciting new chapter for her art and her life.
"I have been teaching art for the past 20 years and this year I have resigned my position to become a full time artist," Ms Beatty said.
"I am thrilled to be launching this exhibition at Cio Bella Cucina because it complements my work with the cosy spaces and comfortable ambience.
"Ms Beatty said her preferred medium is pastel as is demonstrated in her new exhibition but she will often work with acrylics and oils.
Free invitations for the opening night on Saturday March 16 are available from Cio Bella Cucina on James St, Yeppoon and will be required for free refreshments on arrival.
