New depot puts firm on track

MOVING into a new depot has enabled Star Track Express Pty Ltd the room to expand its Rockhampton branch.

The company made the move from its East St depot to the larger site at McCartney St, North Rockhampton, two weeks ago.

For branch manager Darryl Tromp the move has enabled three more workers to join the team.

"We've now got 16 staff and myself in the Rockhampton branch," Darryl said.

"It has been a combined effort from all the team that has enabled this move to happen."

Star Track Express is an overnight freight moving company which services all of Australia.

"We've settled in well," said Darryl, who is in his fourth year in Rockhampton and enjoying the challenge.

"Normally at this time of the year it's a bit quieter for us, but things are bouncing along."

He said he thought the region's outlook was bright with the resources sector the driving force behind a buoyant economy.
