New fashions in the field introduced to Rocky racing

PATRONS can expect to see different fashions at the Capricorn yearling sales race day in Rockhampton this Saturday.

The race day which is held at Callaghan Park will have a new category added to fashions in the field.

As well as the usual under 35's and over 35's fashions in the field a western wear category has been added.

Western wear ambassador Katrina Clarke said the category would appeal to those who maybe wouldn't normally compete in fashions in the field.

"Obviously being a very regional country town it's nice to appeal to the other side of fashion and give everyone a chance to be involved," she said.

"It's appealing to those who maybe wouldn't do the mainstream fashions that are more comfortable in the western wear."

Face of racing, Madison-Lee Day said entry would be on the day.

"You just write your name and number on a piece of paper and enter."
