New LNP candidate for Flynn

PROMINENT Central Queensland real estate agent Colin Burke will represent the Liberal National Party in the seat of Flynn at the next federal election.

LNP state director Michael O'Dwyer said Mr Burke, who lives in Gladstone, understood the issues facing Central Queenslanders, particularly for business and tourism.

“Colin is well known by most business operators from big companies through to small traders, particularly in the Gladstone region,” Mr O’Dwyer said.

“He brings with him a wealth of business experience, particularly from his role in the real estate industry.”

Mr Burke is currently the chairman of Gladstone Area Promotion & Development Limited.

Mr O'Dwyer said Mr Burke had a strong understanding of the impact on jobs that Labor's proposed Carbon Pollution Reduction Scheme would have.

"He knows that the most important consideration for voters is the protection of their job and their family's financial security," Mr O'Dwyer said.

The seat of Flynn is currently held by Labor's Chris Trevor.
