New mum set for modelling comp

LOOKING at Rockhampton girl Crystal Ferris now, it would be hard to believe that four months ago she had her first baby.

The new mum will take part in the Zodiac Nightclub's 'Who looks the Best in their Little Black Dress' modelling competition tonight.

"I want to do a bit of a comeback - be a yummy mummy," Crystal said yesterday.

Ten contestants, all from Rockhampton, are set to take to the stage, with $500, a free photo shoot with Ethan Lobodin Photography, and a trip to Darwin to compete in the grand final in April up for grabs.

Event co-ordinator Tara Jeffery said it was the first time the competition had been held in Rockhampton.

"We have a lot of swimwear competitions, so this is something a bit different," she said.

"We've got some gorgeous girls, I'm very excited."

Tara said for some of the girls it was their first time modelling.

"It's a great way for them to get good exposure and meet lots of people in the industry," she said.

"It should be a good night."
