Newborn baby flown from Gladstone after complications
AN eight-hour-old baby was transferred from Gladstone to Rockhampton on Tuesday night after birthing difficulties.
The RACQ Capricorn Helicopter Rescue Service was tasked by Queensland Health to transfer the baby and mother from Gladstone Hospital to Rockhampton.
The baby boy had a low blood sugar level at birth. There were also birthing difficulties, which resulted in the transfer for observations at the Rockhampton Hospital.
Both mum and baby were transported in a stable condition.
