Newman and Springborg visit Rockhampton hospital

THE Premier and his health minister, Lawrence Springborg visited the city today with promises to the tune of $327 million for a Backlog Maintenance Remediation Program.

Campbell Newman said there were more than 2000 jobs already scheduled for health services and hospitals throughout Queensland.

Programs include replacing cupboards and ageing air-conditioners, plumbing and electrical work with priority given to the refurbishment and maintenance of elevators and lifts.
