Accused lonely hearts robber stays in jail
A MAN dubbed the 'lonely hearts robber' for alleged crimes in NSW, who was arrested in Gladstone after being accused of tying a woman up, remains in custody.
Beau Robert Bartlett, 32, appeared before Gladstone Magistrates Court via video-link from Capricornia Corrections Centre seeking the police brief of evidence in its case against him.
His lawyer Jun Pepito received the brief concerning Gladstone matters, and told the court Bartlett would need three weeks to decide whether to make a bail application.
Bartlett is charged with deprivation of liberty of a woman at Sun Valley on February 28, robbery with violence, enter a dwelling at night with intent, and six other offences.
Police accuse him of using zip ties on the woman and stealing money.
The case will be mentioned again in June.
