No Rockhampton love from NRL this August

CENTRAL QUEENSLAND Capras chairman Geoff Murphy this afternoon announced Rockhampton will not be hosting an NRL game this year.

Mr Murphy told Rockhampton media outlets this afternoon he was disappointed by the NRL's decision but was now looking to put in the work to try to bring an NRL match to the city next year.

He said the decision was based on the late application to bring a match to Rockhampton.

More information to come.
