Norco collects big award from Coles

LISMORE-based dairy co-operative Norco has been named the Coles Brand Grocery Supplier of the Year.

Norco has a major five-year contract to supply 60 million litres of milk a year for Coles Brand in northern NSW and southern Queensland.

The co-operative has also increased the price of milk it pays to farmers, and signed on more than 50 new dairy farmers. Coles managing director John Durkan said Norco was a deserving winner of the Coles Brand Supplier of the Year Award in the grocery category.

"Norco is a great Australian dairy co-operative, which demonstrates the calibre of businesses supplying our customers with Coles Brand products," he said.

Norco chief executive Brett Kelly said the company was delighted to receive the award from Coles in recognition of the range of dairy products it provides.

"The foundation of our relationship with Coles is the high standard we set for quality - a quality that we have built our name on for more than 100 years," Mr Kelly said.
