North Rocky graduate engineering a success

JESSICA Gilbar is on the track to success after graduating last year from North Rockhampton State High School.

After finishing school, the 18-year-old has made the move to Brisbane to study engineering at the University of Queensland.

Jessica said it took her a while to decide what she wanted to do, but picked engineering after enjoying maths throughout High school.

Jessica excelled at North Rockhampton High, and was a school vice-captain last year.

The former student says she was proud of her school, describing the teachers and friends she had at school as great.

"It gave me the best opportunities," Jessica said.

"I'm really proud of what I've achieved at the school."
