Nothing but a shell left of Koongal house after fire today

CHARRED and gutted, a Koongal house is a shell of nothing after fire destroyed a property in Rockonia Rd.

Authorities at the scene say the property had been occupied when the blaze ripped through the home about 12.30pm today.

No one was injured, Senior Sergeant Tom Nelson said.

He says it's not known how the fire started.

Rockhampton station officer Craig Gregory says three fire appliances attended the fire. All occupants have been accounted for and no one needed treatment.

The inside is believed to be gutted.
