One tonne water pod falls on young child at rural property

3.45PM: THE FOUR year-old boy who was injured in a rural accident this morning is now in a stable condition.

The child had a 1,000 litre water pod fall on top of him and was suffering abdominal injuries.

He was in a serious condition however this has now been downgraded to stable

1PM: A YOUNG child is in a serious condition after a 1,000 litre water pod fell on him at a rural residence at Pink Lilly.

The child, believed to be a four-year-old boy, was taken to Rockhampton Hospital via ambulance with abdominal injuries.

12.25PM: A YOUNG child is being treated by paramedics after a 1,000 litre water pod fell on him at a rural residence at Pink Lily.

The child is believed to be a four-year-old boy.

Queensland Ambulance Service received the call at 12.36pm and are treating him for abdominal injuries.

Reports from the scene indicate he is conscious and breathing.
