Online grocery shopping for Rocky

GROCERY shopping is often seen as a chore, but as Wednesday Rockhampton region residents will be able to do it without leaving the comfort of their own home.

In a first for Central Queensland, Woolworths has rolled out online shopping for the region.

From Wednesday customers living in Rockhampton, Yeppoon, Gracemere and surrounding areas are able to visit woolworthsonline.com.au, search the supermarket aisles and place their order.

Food deliveries will begin next Tuesday. Gary Boyer, Queensland Regional Manager for Woolworths, said woolworthsonline.com.au had a huge range that included fresh fruit and vegetables, dairy products, meat, fish, bread, frozen food and all the pantry stables including cleaning and health and beauty products.

He said delivery drivers would also be able to bring the groceries right to customers’ kitchen benches.

When customers go online, their orders will be sent to actual Woolworths stores in the region for dedicated staff to pick, pack and deliver.

As an introductory offer Woolworthsonline.com.au is offering customers their first delivery free, and free delivery on all future orders when they spend more than $250.

Woolworthsonline.com.au shoppers will be able to use their Everyday Rewards cards, collect Qantas Frequent Flyer points and get their 4c-a-litre off petrol vouchers as well.
