Charity golf day to raise funds for Four Paws adoptions

FOUR Paws Adoption and Education Inc foster carer Jan Jones describes her latest pup Sally as a "big sweetheart".

"She's got a really gentle nature and loves kids. She's really good with my grandkids when they come around to play," Jan told the Capricorn Coast Mirror last week.

"But she's also very timid. She doesn't like to be on her own for too long or she gets distressed. But she gets along well with my other dogs too. She really deserves a good home."

The staffy-whippet cross is just one of many animals looking for forever homes in the Capricorn Coast region, as the not-for-profit group continues to seek community support.

Foster carer co-ordinator Alisa Gordon said Four Paws had been working hard this year to raise much-needed funds to rescue and rehome abandoned and displaced cats and dogs.

"At the moment we have nine cats and four dogs available for adoption," Alisa said.

"In order to keep saving more animals, we welcome new members and foster carers and also rely on our many fundraisers throughout the year.

"We are extremely grateful to all the wonderful individuals and businesses who donate goods, money and their time, as well as to our wonderful foster carers who take animals into their homes until they can be adopted."
