OPINION: Stained and smelly fashion takes over CQ

WHO would have thought that a simple piece of legislation could change the fashion world?

I refer to the Workplace Health and Safety Act.

This has resulted in the introduction of the "yellow safety shirt". Yes that standout, in your face piece of apparel that has caught on in nearly all areas of our life.

But over to our Rocky boys to show their innovation (and some of the girls as well bless them).

What we have now is the "dirty yellow safety shirt".

Yes the stained and smelly fashion statement that almost consumes our daily lives. Call it product enhancement if you like.

It seems to have become the item of choice not only during the daily chores but at the pub, at the supermarket and the suburban barby.

I fear the craze is growing so fast that the clubs and restaurants are in their sights.

Now the hard and fast rule would seem to be "do NOT wash it too hard and fast and limit the detergent to preserve it's nature".

Too much attention to these matters will not preserve that tough guy stain and special aroma that so lovingly engulfs us in as we pass by.

So good on you guys (and gals) for taking on the fashion world at their own game. You're winning hands down. Just joking. Have a nice Xmas.
