Original bush ballad sing-along at Bouldercombe
PETER Coad and the Coad Sisters are one of Australia's most popular family touring acts, with 30 years experience as fulltime entertainers in the industry.
The award-winning trio, Peter, Virginia and Lynette, deliver a vibrant and full-on country music show of original bush ballad material, plus yodelling and multi-instrumental favourites which they'll be bringing to Bouldercombe next weekend.
The event will see Runaway Dixie as well as Bouldercombe family Keith and Caitlyn Jamieson and Alisha Smith perform on June 18.
Peter Coad and the Coad Sisters' career appearances range from the Birdsville Races, the Sydney Opera House to the USA.
Long time recording artists with much success to their name, the trio perform all live music at their shows.
In 2011, the show toured the US with highlights including performances at the Smith Family Theatre (the biggest music show in east Tennessee), the famous Carter Family Theatre, and a one-hour live radio broadcast from Nashville beamed around the world.
Virginia and Lynette also make up two thirds of Runaway Dixie, joined by dynamic guitarist/vocalist from Adelaide Jim Hermel.
His credits include performing with Jerry Lee Lewis in Nashville, and a star-studded 30-year recording and touring career.
When these three versatile musicians/entertainers step into a studio together, you have to expect an exciting product.
They'll deliver a selection of fiery Bluegrass, Gospel and Cajun music from their 2009 award-winning album Golden Mile.
They followed that album up with their 2013 release Breakdown, plus their 2016 Golden Guitar nominated Bayou Queen in January 2015.
Keith and Caitlyn Jamieson along with Alisha Smith, who when at home, reside locally in Bouldercombe, are well known for their traditional country presentation and touring bush ballad shows.
Keith Jamieson is a Golden Guitar winning songwriter, and Alisha Smith is one of the country's finest bush ballad guitarists in the vein of the late Barry Thornton and took out the Bungendore Instrumental Of The Year in 2015.
Together with their daughter Caitlyn they perform a range of originals, classic ballads and instrumental favourites.
