Out with the new and in with the old. Rocky's bargain hunt.

IT'S out with the new, and in with the old.

Latest research from Gumtree, reported by AAP, has Australians buying and selling second-hand goods have added $18 billion to the economy.

And we are earning an average of $2874 per person from our sales.

According to AAP, the Gumtree report also found the resale value of unwanted and unused goods could be worth almost $44 billion.

And Rockhampton isn't missing out on the bargain-hunting fun. There are more than 1300 items for sale in the Rockhampton region, advertised on the Gumtree site.
