Woman offers $500 reward to catch local mechanic thieves
AFTER Gordon Fischer's mechanic business was broken into this week, his mother took action and wants to help police arrest the culprits.
Pam Fischer is putting up a $500 reward from her own money for anybody who comes forward with information leading to an arrest.
The Parkhurst pensioner said she was devastated when she heard her son Gordon's business had been targeted in a dramatic ram-raid early Wednesday morning, when $20,000 worth of equipment was stolen.
"That's my own money and I'm on a pension but he always looks after me and I'd like to do something to help," she said.
"He has worked really hard to get the business to where it is today.
"I think there are people out there who would know some information and I hope this inspires them to give it up.
"He is a very good man, he is very good to me and he comes to check on me every day before work."
She said she wanted the reward to act as an incentive for the public to help solve the crime.
"I want to see him get back on his feet and I want these people to get caught," she said.
"There is too much of this stuff going on for them to get away with it."
