Park Avenue man dies in crash on Saturday night

A 23-YEAR-OLD Park Avenue man died when he was flung from his car and hit by an oncoming vehicle at Alton Downs on Saturday night.

The man was thrown from his vehicle after it rolled several times about 11.15pm on McKenzie Rd.

District duty officer Senior Sergeant Mick Langsdorf said the car the man was driving had been seized for a mechanical inspection.

Snr Sgt Langsdorf said police could not reveal many details while the accident was being investigated.

The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating the crash.

Snr Sgt Langsdorf was yesterday unsure if the man's family had been contacted by police.
