Parliamentary Inquiry to study farmers' use of rail freight

A CLOSER look will be taken at how Queensland farmers are using rail freight, as part of a Parliamentary Inquiry.

Livestock and agriculture industries will be the focus of the examination, with the government committee wanting to hear from anyone involved in the sectors with something to discuss.

The group - headed by LNP member for Warrego Howard Hobbs - will consider how best to improve the rail system and what specific changes are needed for industry.

Written submissions must be made by February 21 next year, and emailed to thlgc@parliament.qld.gov.au.

For more information, phone the Queensland Parliament on 3406 7486.
