Patients learn to speak freely

PROMOTING good communication skills across the Rockhampton region has been speech language pathologist Kathy Wooler's passion for more than two decades.

Kathy founded the Kathy J. Wooler Speech Pathology practice and enjoys providing private speech pathology services to children, adolescents and adults in Central Queensland.

Her business has been primarily built over time by gaining a reputation for excellent therapy services and customer satisfaction regarding their progress.

“I take a lot of enjoyment out of interacting with my clients and their parents and enjoy seeing them progress in their areas of difficulty,” she said.

“The business has two speech language pathologists, myself and Bernadette Draper, available to assess and treat toddlers, pre-school age children, primary school children, adolescents and adults with speech or language delays or difficulties.

Bernadette Draper specialises in working with clients under seven years while Kathy works with all other ages.

A primary focus of Kathy's caseload is working with students who are struggling to learn at school, especially in the area of reading and spelling.

“Bernadette and I both regularly attend professional development workshops and conferences so our skills are up to date and progressive,” said Kathy.
