Photographer Bestmann for the job

INTERNATIONALLY acclaimed industrial and documentary photographer Rowan Bestmann will be bringing his knowledge of the art of photography to Rockhampton next month.

Rowan, an Australian freelance photographer, has worked across the globe completing projects including China, Taiwan, England, Canada, the USA, and Saudi Arabia.

Rowan last year won the International Environmental Photographer of the Year 2010 across two categories in the Chartered Institution of Water and Environmental Management annual photography competition.

He and his wife and assistant Shannon travel extensively throughout Australia dedicating time in between photographic projects to teach interested members of rural and remote communities the basics of photography.

Over the two days participants will be given a rare insight into Rowan's life and work and will also have the opportunity to test out their skills and newly acquired knowledge with a field outing on the second day.

Participant numbers are limited to 20 people.
