Pizza business has a famous fan

THEY'VE only been operating three months and already they've got an order from Jimmy Barnes.

Pizza Under Fire is a new Rockhampton business started by mother-daughter team Helen Stewart and Fiona Howard.

The mobile wood-fired pizza business has already got some massive bookings including the Dingo Race Day this weekend, where Cold Chisel will be playing.

"Jimmy Barnes has ordered 10 of our pizzas," Helen said.

The team are busy getting four hundred pizzas ready to cook at the event this weekend and Helen said it was great they were so busy already.

"We make all the pizzas in a registered kitchen, then we freeze them and transport them in freezers and cook them up on spot."

The crew make four ranges of pizzas, the light ranged which consists of breads like garlic and pesto, the premium range, which is largely based around meat and includes pizzas like barbecue beef, chilli beef and minted lamb, the gourmet range, including chicken pizzas, bacon and egg, Mexican and Italian, and the indulgent range, which is made of desserts largely based around chocolate bases with berries and cream.

Helen said she bought the mobile business in June and Fiona and her partner Jason Kingham hurried from New Zealand to help out.

"It's a family business, my daughter and I are running it and my daughter's partner is the business brains behind it," Helen said.

The team can be hired to cater for any event from birthday parties to weddings, as long as there's flat ground and they can get access with their trailer and there's power and water on supply.

Helen said they were also keen to help out sporting organisations by catering for their events and donating some of the proceeds.

"We've helped the tennis association here on two occasions."
