Rockhampton Reigonal Council Planning Scheme passes draft

PROGRESS on the new Rockhampton Regional Council Planning Scheme is full steam ahead in 2013, marking the completion of drafting phase and moving into the review, consult and adopt phases.

Rockhampton Region Mayor Margaret Strelow said the preliminary consultation at the end of 2012 allowed the council to gather valuable feedback on the Strategic Directions - Land Use preliminary consultation document.

The new Rockhampton Regional Council planning scheme will cover the local government area and replace the existing Fitzroy, Livingstone, Mount Morgan shire and Rockhampton city planning schemes.
