Police appeal to public after Charters Towers hangar attack

CHARTERS TOWERS detectives have appealed for information in relation to a possible serious assault on Thursday.

Police said their initial investigations suggest that sometime after 6.30pm at a hanger on an airfield near Corinda Ave, a 61-year-old male employee was struck on the back of the head.

The man suffered serious injuries and was taken to the Townsville Hospital.

Police would like to speak with anyone that may have seen any vehicles or people in the vicinity of Corinda Ave or the Charters Towers airport between 6pm to midnight on the Thursday, July 3.
