Police charge two with possession of child abuse material

POLICE have charged two men in regard to the possession of child abuse material at Coffs Harbour overnight.

A 58-year-old man was arrested at Combine St at Coffs Harbour yesterday.

Investigators will allege they located child abuse material on a computer.

The man was charged with several offences including possess child abuse material and he was granted bail to appear at Coffs Harbour Local Court on Monday.

Investigators also attended a motel in Mullaway and spoke with a 40-year-old man.

Police examined his computer and storage devices allegedly locating child abuse material.

The man was arrested and conveyed to Coffs Harbour Police Station.

He was later charged with a number of offences including possess child abuse material.

The man was refused bail and appeared at Coffs Harbour Local Court today. He was granted bail to appear at the same court on July 21.

Investigators have seized several computers and continue with their investigations into both matters.
