Police constable stood down

A CONSTABLE from the Central Police Region has been stood down over allegations which include misuse of a police vehicle.

The 36-year-old male officer will work in a non-operational role pending finalisation of internal investigations into a number of incidents in the past two years.

Police yesterday afternoon said matters related to both on and off-duty behaviour and included an allegation of failing to obey a direction.

Ethical Standards Command and the Crime and Misconduct Commission are overseeing the investigation.
