Real estate agent dead in tragedy

2.45pm: REAL Choice Real Estate principal Jeff Gardiner is believed to be the man dead in the Capricorn Coast double tragedy.

A man's body, along with that of a woman, believed to be Mr Gardiner's girlfriend Lisa Jackson, were found at a Tanby Road property yesterday morning.

Police today said preliminary investigations suggest the death of the man is non-suspicious; however they are treating the death of the woman as suspicious.

Police have not yet released any details in relation to the identities of the bodies.

12.07pm: POLICE have not ruled out murder suicide after two bodies were found at a Capricorn Coast property.

They  are continuing to investigate the deaths of a man and a woman whose bodies were discovered at a residence in Yeppoon overnight.

Preliminary investigations suggest the death of the man is non-suspicious; however police are treating the death of the woman as suspicious.

9.39am: FORENSIC experts are combing a house where the bodies of a man and a woman were found at a property on the outskirts of Yeppoon yesterday morning.

Police discovered the bodies at a house in Tanby Road, Taroomball, near Yeppoon, about 10am on Monday.

A crime scene has been established and forensic examinations will continue today.

Emu Park police attended the residence in relation to a welfare check and forced entry to the house.

They discovered the body of a woman and then the body of a man in another part of the house.

It's believed the pair were in their 40s.

The residence on Tanby Road, Taroomball, was declared a crime scene and Yeppoon Criminal Investigation Branch has begun an investigation.

Scientific forensic staff will continue investigations today.

The deaths are being treated as suspicious and the house was last night under guard.

Police did not confirm the identities of the bodies.
