Police investigate string of Springfield assaults

DETECTIVES investigating a number of indecent assaults in Springfield are appealing for public assistance.

In separate incidents, three women walking along Sharpless Road were approached from behind and assaulted by a male aged in his mid-teens.

The women were not physically injured.

The first incident occurred around 5.05pm on January 18, the second incident occurred around 5.30pm two days later and the third incident occurred later that week.

On a number of other occasions during February and early March a male has been seen acting suspiciously in various streets in the Springfield area including Mur Boulevard, Pearl Court, Sharpless Road, Moresby Avenue and Touramaline Court.

The male is described as Caucasian in appearance, 170cms tall, medium build, light brown hair, hazel eyes and wearing a black bicycle helmet .

He has been seen riding a silver coloured mountain bike similar to the one pictured but in a used condition.
