Police arrest one person and impound car after evade event

UPDATE 12PM: Further reports indicate police are impounding the vehicle involved in the incident for 90 days. 

UPDATE 11.20AM: Police are believed to be searching the Silver Holden Commodore involved in the incident. 

Further reports suggest one person has been taken into police custody. 

EARLIER: POLICE are searching for two adults and a child involved in an evade police incident this morning. 

Initial reports suggest a man driving a Silver Holden Commodore fled police on Alma St. 

Checks are believed to have identified false number plates on the vehicle. 

Further reports indicate the man, accompanied by a woman and child, dumped the car near North St and fled on foot.

It is understood the man is a suspect in other matters. 

Reports suggest police have located the trio near the Southside pool and investigations are continuing.
