Police search for armed bandit who held up service station

POLICE are investigating an armed robbery that occurred overnight in Narangba.

A man entered a service station on Mackie Rd at about 8.25pm and produced a knife and demanded cash from the attendant.

The employee compiled and put a sum of cash in the black bag the man was carrying.

The man has then fled the scene on foot and was last seen on Mackie Rd.

Police said no one was physically injured as a result of the robbery.

The man is described as being Caucasian in appearance, roughly 167cm tall and he had a slim build.

He was last seen wearing a black balaclava, a hooded jumper and he was carrying a black shoulder bag.

Police are continuing their investigations.
