Police seize 400 pills

POLICE have seized more than 400 ecstasy tablets from a property near Rockhampton.

Police said they also found over 200g of cannabis and a firearm during a search of a Nankin home on about 60 acres, on Leaholme Road about 9.40pm on Sunday.

A 45-year-old man has been charged with two counts of drug possession and one count of unlawful possession of a firearm.

Child Protection Investigation Unit Acting Detective Senior Sergeant Jim Edwards said police found the drugs while conducting an investigation into another matter.

The 45-year-old is due to appear in Rockhampton Magistrates Court on February 1.
