Search on for woman who bolted from Coast traffic stop
UPDATE: Police are searching for a woman who fled from a car after being stopped in Alexandra Headland.
Sunshine Coast police district duty officer Senior Sergeant Michael Rowlands said police had stopped a car on Alexandra Parade.
"When it pulled over the male passenger jumped out and took the bolt," Snr Sgt Rowlands said.
"Very shortly after that the female driver bolted as well."
A 38-year-old Toowoomba man was arrested shortly after and has since been charged with resisting arrest.
Police surrounded and searched the Pirara unit complex in Boolarong Cres about 10.45am.
However they left scene just before 11am still in search of the woman.
A short time later a member of the public reported seeing a woman who matched the description of the woman for whom police were searching near a building site a few blocks away.
Police have been patrolling the area since.
She was described as having blonde hair and wearing yellow shorts.
BREAKING: Police surrounded a beachfront unit complex in search of a woman they believe fled from a traffic stop.
Officers were at the Pirara complex in Alexandra Headland this morning.
Officers entered the building and were posted around it.
They said they had already arrested a man in relation to the incident.
Police left the Alexandra Headland complex shortly before 11am.
