Police to dive for air tank

DIVERS from the Brisbane police dive squad will search the waters near North West Island in an attempt to recover the equipment used by Jacob Lollback today.

Gladstone's Inspector Graham Coleman said yesterday Yeppoon water police had not found the scuba gear on Wednesday.

A crew of police divers arrived in Gladstone yesterday and would go to North West Island with Gladstone water police to dive for Mr Lollback's gear.

At least eight police would be involved.

Mr Lollback was found on the sea floor on Tuesday morning and could not be revived. He was on a snorkelling and spear fishing trip.

Inspector Coleman was unaware whether an autopsy on the body in Rockhampton had been done yet.
