Results are in - which coffee-making business readers love

11.35AM: LAST month, we asked readers who their favourite coffee-making business was in the region.

We started with nominations via Facebook, which resulted in over 140 comments in a 24-hour period.

From this, we took the top 10 and created an online poll, which received an outstanding 1141 votes all up.

It came as no surprise that Two Professors won the poll (37% of the votes, 432 votes), nor that Gus' Coffee came in second (29% of the votes, 340 votes) after both businesses posted a link to The Bulletin's poll on their Facebook pages.

MARCH: THE Two Professors are leading the way in an online poll about who is the best coffee-making business in the Rockhampton and Capricorn Coast region.

Over 1030 votes have been cast in the poll up until 1.20pm today, with The Two Professors acquiring 36% of those votes.

The CBD coffee shop is followed closely by Northside Plaza's Gus's Coffee, which has 30% of the votes.

MONDAY 11AM: THE power of social media has helped two coffee making business in Rockhampton take the lead in an online poll on The Bulletin.

Last week, The Bulletin asked readers to nominate their favourite coffee-making business.

Over 140 comments were submitted in a 24 hour period and The Bulletin created a poll of the top 10.

Which coffee-making business is the best in Rockhampton and the Capricorn Coast?

This poll ended on 03 April 2015.

As of 10.50am: 898 votes had been cast with Two Professors and Gus's Coffee leading the way.

Both had posted about the poll on their Facebook pages, encouraging their customers to vote.

FRIDAY NOON: WHAT does it take to be classified as the best in the coffee-making business in the Rockhampton and Capricorn Coast region?

Over 140 comments on a Facebook post on The Bulletin's account last night suggests a number of elements lead to their nominations.

Amelia Kase nominated Expresso Heaven at the CQUniversity campus off Yaamba Rd.

She said they have the best coffee and amazing gluten free and healthy lunch options.

Bec Dean said she liked Expresso Heaven because of the great staff members.

Skye Michaels said she liked the Byfield Bush Cafe.

"School drop off wouldn't be the same without it," she said.

Shazza Diener loves Degani Bakery Cafe's early bird breakfast, while Donna Roberts likes Gloria Jeans (at Stockland Rockhampton) for their rich and smooth coffee and fantastic staff.

The Bulletin has taken the top 10 coffee-making businesses nominated by readers and created an online poll all readers can vote in - up until Noon, Friday, April 3.
