Writing to your honey on Facebook? Bad news...

YOU probably suspected but thanks to science, you now have proof.

The people who post the most lovey-dovey, soppy messages to their partners on Facebook are the ones most insecure about their relationship.

A study published in the Personality and Social Psychology Bulletin journal looked into what it called "relationship visibility".

It found that anxious people wanted to display their relationship more than others.

But "on a daily basis, when people felt more insecure about their partner's feelings, they tended to make their relationships visible", which we can assume includes on social media.

According to the authors, "These studies highlight the role of relationships in how people portray themselves to others".
