Principal picks up drum sticks to promote Facebook page

ST URSULA'S College have come up with a pretty impressive method to promote their official Facebook page.

The page made the promise yesterday that if the they reach 900 Likes, a video of Principal Catherine Dunbar playing the drums would be posted.

The video would be a follow-up to one posted in June when the page was looking to reach 700 Likes.

Today Mrs Dunbar admitted said she is no professional.

"About six months ago we were thinking about identifying the Facebook page as the official page because there are informal ones that crop up, and that was when the suggestion was made that the principal's presence on the page would probably identify is as being the formal one," she said.

"And then we were keen to get it very light...so we thought we had to do something a little unusual to attract some attention.

"But I am obviously not the best at it."

Mrs Dunbar said the first video was very popular with the students, but she wasn't quite ready to call herself a viral sensation...yet.

The page is currently "teetering" on the edge of 900 likes.
