Prison escapee caught near Rocky

A PRISONER who absconded from the low security farm at the Capricornia Correctional Centre last night was captured four hours later.

Mitchell Peter McCullock, 28, was reported missing at the 7.30pm headcount having been last seen at 6.30pm.

Mitchell was serving an eight-year sentence for offences including break and enter and car theft.

He was sentenced in 2003 and his full-time release date was January 2010.

Police caught Mitchell walking along the Bruce Highway towards Rockhampton at 11.10 pm.
